The show kicked off with a sultry presentation of DivineWear‘s SS19 intimate collection for men, which featured a playfully colorful selection of briefs that represented the iconic vibrancy of the Cuban theme.
The show then transitioned to a presentation of DivineWear’s evening collection, which showcased a variety of sexy and effortless gowns, co-ord sets, and men’s suits. The featured pieces had a breezy swiftness and movement to them that gave the collection a tropical feel.
“The inspiration for making DivineWear SS19 collection came from the beauty, [the color palette], the history, and architecture of Havana, Cuba. [The city] is rich in arts and culture [and has made] diverse multicultural contributions to the world,” said Divine Dawson, the designer
andcreator of DivineWear International.
The show also featured a runway presentation by celebrity designer Perry White, who showcased looks from his recent ‘Lust for Latex’ collection. Featuring plenty of trendy utility belts, metallics, and edgy latex, these pieces spoke highly to the industrial roots of Havana, which is Cuba’s main hub for the industry.
Following an incredible breakout dance performance, set by the musical melodies of Cuba, and a live performance by LGBT band Echo V, DivineWear showcased the denim division of their collection. As expected, the collection featured a rainbow of rich denim colors that brought the vibrancy of the show to new heights.
